Meet Kandise
Teaching has taken Kandise across Canada and to international schools around the globe — and honestly? Every single destination has been an adventure worth sharing. After years in classrooms from here to everywhere, she became deeply convinced that curiosity about the world is one of the greatest gifts we can give a child.
Adventurous Alex was born from that belief — and from a sneaking suspicion that real mail can change a child's relationship with the world. As a single mom and a passionate traveller, Kandise pours every bit of that wonder into each envelope.
Meet Sonia
Art has been Sonia's whole world — from illustrating over 80 children's books to teaching creativity to people of all ages. Her career has been a joyful, colourful whirlwind of sparking imaginations and bringing stories to life on the page.
When Kandise pitched the idea, the answer was an immediate, enthusiastic YES — because art and creativity are pure magic for opening children's hearts and minds. As a single mom herself, Sonia pours every ounce of that love into every outfit she designs for Alex.
How did we find each other?
Our children do horseback riding together. And cadets. We were two moms sitting on the sidelines talking about big dreams — and one day we looked at each other and said, "let's actually do this."
And so Adventurous Alex was born.
